With a long history in Osceola County, the Silver Spurs Rodeo represents far more than the event that is embodied by its distinguished name. For proud Floridians residing in Osceola County, it literally represents them… their families, their histories, their livelihoods. Beyond the philanthropic reach of the Silver Spurs Riding Club, the social group behind the largest rodeo east of the Mississippi, the Silver Spurs Rodeo was built with the blood, sweat, and tears of this proud Osceola County community, and it’s still going strong today. The Silver Spurs Rodeo: Taking Stock Temporary Exhibit explores the voices and perspectives of the men and women volunteers who continue to “Take Stock” in continuing to proudly produce the event and support their community.
